What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I LOVE meeting new kitties! Every cat has their own quirky personality and no two are alike, it's truly awesome. I also know how stressful it can be to try and arrange care for pets, so I also really enjoy being able to provide peace of mind to pet parents.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Ideally, I'd love to have a meet and greet with you and your cats to assess their needs and ensure we are a good match. It is also very important that we discuss your expectations of me, so that I can provide the best possible service for you and your cat! I want you to be as comfortable with me as possible, so I welcome any chance to answer questions! Of course, I understand that meet and greets beforehand aren't always possible or you have to leave for a trip unexpectedly. In that case, a brief phone call "meeting" works too!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I work in a cat shelter that houses many nervous and shy cats. Talking sweetly, quietly, while moving slowly and deliberately is important - no sudden, scary movements. I will often sit quietly and let the cat interact with me on their own terms, even if that takes hours or multiple visits. And Churu helps - everyone loves Churu!

I had not heard of Meowtel until I went looking for a cat sitter. I hired Kristin and she did a super job taking care of my 2 cats! She gave detailed updates (including photos) after each visit. She's friendly, professional, and obviously quite experienced at caring for cats. She's definitely a "cat person." :)

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
