Through my volunteer work with local rescue groups, Iāve helped with TNR operations, socialized feral kittens, administered medications, performed nail trims, and supported cats transitioning from outdoor to indoor life. Iām Tatiyana ā a TNR-certified cat rescuer with years of hands-on experience caring for kittens, adult cats, seniors, and medically vulnerable cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start with a meet-and-greet (in person whenever possible) to learn your catās routine, personality, preferences, and any medical needs. I ask detailed questions about feeding schedules, hiding spots, triggers, and normal behaviors so I can recognize if anything changes. During visits, I follow your routine closely to minimize stress. After each visit, I send photo and video updates along with a summary of how your cat ate, behaved, and interacted. Clear communication and consistency are very important to me.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is my top priority. As a TNR-certified rescuer, Iām trained to be extremely aware of doors, windows, and environmental risks. I double-check entry points, move cautiously when entering or exiting, and never rush interactions with cats. I also monitor litter box habits, appetite, and behavior for early signs of stress or illness. I treat every home with respect and keep everything exactly as I found it. You can trust that your cat and your space are in careful, attentive hands.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let the cat set the pace. With my rescue and TNR background, Iām very comfortable working with shy, under-socialized, or easily stressed cats. I use slow movements, soft tones, and calm body language to create a safe environment. I never chase, corner, or force engagement. Instead, I allow the cat to decide if and when theyād like to approach me. Patience is key ā sometimes the best care is simply sitting quietly and letting them feel secure in their space. If theyāre open to interaction, I gently introduce enrichment or play. If they prefer distance, I respect that fully while maintaining their routine and monitoring their well-being. My goal is always to reduce stress and build trust ā not rush the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
