Through owning cats, I’m very knowledgeable on their behaviors and habits in which I am able to handle any issue that may arise... Hey friends! My name is Laney Ledford and I am a college student attending The Institute for American Musical Theatre! I have 11 cats in my family home yet 1 is actually mine! Her name is Chonk and I raised her during quarantine and she is my everything. She brings me more joy than anything in the world and I hold her very dear to my heart. I love all things cats and never fail to pet a cat when I see one, no matter where they are!
Through owning cats, I’m very knowledgeable on their behaviors and habits in which I am able to handle any issue that may arise. I understand that cats have personal boundaries and I find it crucial to respect those, as cats are very timid and independent. You can expect quality care of your cat and home through booking me!! Along with taking great care of your fur babies, I will take the trash out, sweep/vacuum litter, etc! I like to ensure your cat has an adequate, clean environment that meets their needs. I also love to play with them!
Along with cats, my other passions and hobbies include reading, musical theatre, being outside, and all things Broadway! I can’t wait to meet your sweet fur babies and treat them with the utmost love and care! 💜💜

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to meet all sorts of cats with different personalities! I really enjoy getting to see how cats have various antics and ways of living. It’s also enjoyable to learn their favorite spots. Just getting to be in their presence is a gift within itself.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 11! Their names are Chonk, Ru Ru, Ceamy, Teddy, Junior, Greedy, Booger, Lucky, Mama Cat, Cookie, and Onyx! Very unique odd names!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, almost always! While holidays are enjoyable, I typically get pretty bored and don’t like to stay at home all the time, hence why I like getting out of the house to cat sit!

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bronx cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
