What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy cat sitting because I get the opportunity to meet new kitties and experience their unique personalities. I have always wanted to do something that I love, which is forming bonds with cats of all ages and breeds.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I don't have a favorite cat sitting reservation because I enjoy each reservation equally. I love working with cats and earning their trust until I am able to see their amazing personalities.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two kitties. My first cat’s name is Zen, and he is now 5 years old. I rescued him from the streets of the Bronx when he was 3 months old. I think he's a grumpy old man, who likes attention and love from a distance. My second cat’s name is Boa, and she is 2 years old. She was adopted from a shelter in NYC. She is an absolute cuddle-bug and can be very chatty.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available throughout major holidays and weekends. Please let me know in advance, and I will work around your schedule.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Wand toys are perfect because they are interactive and encourage for shy kitties to play. It helps cats of all ages exercise and build trust.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I think that the biggest part of working with timid and anxious cats is patience. I work at the cat's pace and respect their boundaries. It's important to have a calm presence and earn their trust throughout the visit.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bronx cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
