Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two kitties!! My boy cats name is Dima and my girl cats name is Sasha. They are both the yin and yang of eachother. Dima is very playful, mischievous, physically affectionate, and wild. Sasha is very timid around people, enjoys playtime with certain games, she loves to lounge, and only enjoys pets if she’s in her special seats around the house. My cats couldn’t be more different but I love them just the same :)
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy would be the wand with either feathers or animals at the end of it. I love that it brings out the wild side in cats :)
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I tend to let the timid cats decide when they are ready to greet me. I would never want to force an animal to do something that makes them uncomfortable. If they would like to be in a secluded quiet room I would respect that and have their food/water and litter box station set up for them in their chosen area.

If you have a shy and timid kitty, Juli is absolutely the cat sitter for you! We have a cat who people are convinced doesn’t exist because she is so shy around people, but something about Juli made her absolutely drop her facade! She was sitting on her lap, purring and rolling around (something she only does around people she has known for years). Juli sent excellent photos of both my cats, and videos and made sure proper medication and amount was given to the correct cat. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future, and I recommend you do too!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
