I’ve had cats in my life since I was a kid, from family pets to my own. My first cat, Sabrina, was adopted for me on my 13th birthday after I proved I could care for her on my own. Later, after moving out, I adopted a kitten named Spitz who had been found as a stray in Troy with his mom, Mama—so of course I adopted them both! They were both very special to me, and although they’ve passed, they will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Currently, I have one cat, Hopson, who I rescued outside my apartment in Albany when he was a kitten - maybe 2 months. He’s now 10 years old and still just as wild as ever!
I’ve used Meowtel myself and know how comforting it is to leave your cats at home with someone you trust. I’d love to give other cat owners that same peace of mind by caring for their pets like they’re my own.

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is that each and every cat truly has its own personality. They’re all different - just like us!

Advice I would give to a customer looking to hire a cat sitter is that speaking from experience, it truly makes all the difference knowing your cat will be in the care of someone who will be there to ensure the wellbeing of your cat.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, I want to make sure that they are aware that I have been in their shoes before. I have hired cat sitters through Meowtel myself, which I why I myself am now working with Meowtel because it allowed me to feel a sense of comfort and eased my anxiety knowing there was someone who would care for my cat while I was away and would check in with me with daily updates and photos of my cat while I was away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
