I have worked with very friendly cats (cuddles encouraged!), shy cats, kittens, older cats, cats requiring medication, and very volatile/cranky cats with specific interaction needs... Meowdy! My name is Morgan and I have spent my entire life growing up with and caring for cats! My family and I have had multiple cats as pets and I have done cat sitting and caretaking for friends as well. My sister is a vet technician and I have learned some things from her as well (she is also normally responsive to questions I might have-- very handy when vet offices are closed and there is a concern!). I have always been very health conscious, ensuring vet recommendations, researching ideal diets, and being mindful of toxic foods and substances! I find cats to be very sweet creatures, and love spending time with them!
I have worked with very friendly cats (cuddles encouraged!), shy cats, kittens, older cats, cats requiring medication, and very volatile/cranky cats with specific interaction needs. I also understand that not every cat is a cuddler-- and autonomy is a respectable trait! I am very good about respecting boundaries and letting cats get comfortable with a new person. I have no problem cleaning litter boxes, brushing cats, and administering certain medications (let's talk about it first!). I am also VERY serious about minding doors and windows and not letting indoor only cats get out!
Aside from this, I have years of experience running my own client-bases businesses of various types (mostly professional gardening), which makes me inclined to be very organized and good with following instructions and understanding client needs. I also have very fine attention to detail skills. This translates to making sure pets are feed or medicated as directed and on schedule, and noticing if something seems "off" (cat seems lethargic, fur coat looks patchy/different than normal, etc.)
Since I am completely self employed, I am able to accommodate most schedules and am available for mornings, nights, and overnight sits.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always make sure doors and windows are closed for indoor only cats, never feed them human food (some things like garlic are toxic to cats!), ensure the litter box is clean for health, and that cats always have access to clean water (and food as scheduled of course!). I pay attention to a cat's body language and contact the owner for instruction if anything seems off. Especially with new or shy cats, I avoid sudden noises and sounds so as to not spook them!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Good News! I am often available during holidays! Since I am 100% self employed (and not big on holiday celebrations), I am often free on holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Haha, the laser. 😂 But I understand if letting a cat get rambunctious is not appropriate for the environment! Happy to also play with contained toys!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
