Cats have always been a part of my life, having grown up with one at home, both my grandmothers owning multiple and having two of my own since then. My current baby is a very clingy snowshoe named Gizmo.
I personally believe one’s pet is just as much family as anyone else and if someone is away they should know that their loved one is in good care. Why would you do anything less than provide the best you can for another living being? Let alone one that means so much to many.
I keep in touch frequently with tons of pictures and videos, double check to make sure I’ve got everything on their care down and notify if I think something might be wrong. Making sure your precious kitty has the care and attention they need is what I do best!

I've had experience in giving insulin injections to one of my cats [and now with one kitty client!], it was pretty easy with him. I gave him food and was able to inject between the shoulders by the scruff while he ate. Thankfully he went into remission shortly after. I'm also familiar with topical medication applied to the ear, and while i've also administered oral medication before i've found it to be very difficult and easy to miss. Haha. I have also given pills but they were the powdered kinds you can open and mix into their food. Depending on the cat and their temperament these are things I am more than happy to do.
Outside of my love for cats and all things cat related I love video games [although I'm more into the indie scene], art and overall creating things. I feel art to be a core part of my being, all kinds give me a sense of fulfillment from drawing and animation to sculpting and learning new crafts. I'm a horror nut and love to draw body horror but also enjoy designing outfits and fashion portraits. I tend to do cartooning and occasionally dip into semi-realism if it feels right for the piece. I'm always down to meet other artists and encourage others who think they can't make art that they can.. It just takes time and practice, in the wise words of Bob Ross:

I have one cat named Gizmo, he’s a needy snowshoe baby that loves to talk and pester me as he pleases. Especially when i’m working on projects or trying to eat, laptime is a necessity whenever, wherever.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
It’s always best to give a cat their space, do your own thing in the meantime and let them come to you. Forcing interaction with a cat will only make them more anxious and less likely to interact and tolerate your presence. Respect their space and be patient, maybe try some treat persuasion, then leave them be till they’re comfortable.

I wish I could give Alex 10 stars. She is so attentive, sweet, caring, and communicative. We got multiple updates and photos every day, and even when our cat showed signs of separation anxiety, she was so wonderful and patient. Alex put both us and our cat at ease while we were away and not only cared for him but bonded with him so beautifully. She’s so prompt and attentive and did incredible with our George. He receives a pill daily and she made sure he got his meds without issue. Alex kept his surroundings so clean as he’s a finicky cat and made sure he got so much affection and play time too. I can’t write enough good things about Alex. She’ll be our go-to sitter from here on out.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Ridgewood cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

This was our second time booking Alex, and we are so grateful to have a cat sitter that's so communicative, experienced, and passionate about cats. This visit was way harder than the first time since our main cat had an eye infection and needed regular meds, and we are also rehabilitating an injured feral cat as well. Alex handed everything with grace, and when our feral ran a bit amok, we were quickly informed and worked together to make new plans. We will absolutely continue booking Alex in the future.
