Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three kitties at home! A black kitten named Pixie, a large orange mainecoon named Simba, and a little tuxedo kitten named Tobey. They’re all so different with their personalities and different in age and therefore my approach with each is very different. I also have experience fostering kittens and it is so important for me to always have cats in my life as much and as many as possible.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always double check that all doors and windows are secure before I leave and make sure the cat is safely inside. I have a lot of experience cat-proofing from taking home fosters, so I’m careful to keep anything unsafe out of reach, like plants or small objects. I follow any instructions you provide about alarms, locks, and routines. During visits, I check food, water, and litter to be sure your cat is healthy and comfortable. I’m very careful with keys and never share access. I also send regular updates so you know everything is safe and secure.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Patience is key. Cats can be rightfully anxious around strangers because cats are both predators and prey. So this informs my personal approach in always respecting and taking the cat’s boundaries and feelings into consideration. I focus on creating a calm environment and giving them plenty of space. I sit at their level so I’m less intimidating and let them come to me when they’re ready. I avoid direct eye contact at first and use a soft voice so they can get used to me. If they seem interested, I’ll gently offer a treat or a toy. I’ve worked with a lot of fosters who needed extra time to warm up, so I’m very patient and never rush the process.

Sapir was awesome! My normally friendly kitty was a little nervous when she first came by, but she still made sure his litter was cleaned and he was taken care of. He soon warmed up and came out to say hi and she played with him and kept him very content! Super easy and trustworthy experience!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
