I adore cats and I know that I’d want my baby treated with respect, kindness and affection so I can assure you that your baby would receive nothing less !
Getting to know your cat and their preferences is something I would prioritize as I know that at first it can be hard to accept a change in their usual routin... Hey heyyy! My name is Jannette and I’m the proud mom of my 6 year old kitty named Tato!
I adore cats and I know that I’d want my baby treated with respect, kindness and affection so I can assure you that your baby would receive nothing less !
Getting to know your cat and their preferences is something I would prioritize as I know that at first it can be hard to accept a change in their usual routine so with my patient and calm nature I’d be able to help them navigate their day as they usually would ^^
During my visit I would make sure that alongside your cats basic needs being met (such as making sure there’s clean water, cleaning the litter box and having fresh food) that your cat would receive positive energy from me in the form of playing, peaceful coexistence or another sort of affection!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one 6yr old (7 in July!) kitty! His name is Tato and I honestly don’t know what my life would look like without him! He’s brought so much joy in my life!!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! You can count on me to be available during any holidays or summer vacations you would be taking !
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If I notice that your bag is a bit reserved upon our introduction, I would give them space. I would also talk to them, letting them know who I am, and what I will be doing in their home. I know that being heard by them will help them to get accustomed to my being there as even if I can’t see them, that doesn’t mean they can see or hear me! If appropriate I would hold out treats and wait to be approached by your cat^^ I wouldn’t want to spook them by walking over when they’re not ready!

My situation had a lot of logistical moving parts, and Jannette graciously handled all of them. It was also such a relief to know that Linden received his medication (eye drops) from a caring professional with prior medication experience. Thank you Jannette!!

We had the best experience with Jannette! I was nervous since this was our first time leaving Kitten Face but Jannette took such good care of her. She sent pics and updates the whole time and had such a calming and warm presence I knew kitten was in good hands. We had a lot of travel issues and she was so flexible and accommodating it was such a relief to not have to worry about the cat also. Will definitely be using her again. 10/10 would recommend.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Staten Island cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
