What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a cat sitter and owner my entire life. I’ve had easy cat clients and high maintence cat clients. You name it, i’ve done it!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I’m obsessed with cats. I just like being around them. I like getting to know each cat and working to form our own bond.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I used to watch a cat named Oreo; he was the most adventurous boy. We became friends and he and his family became part of my life 10 years. I would make them a Christmas card every year of Oreo and all the things we did while hanging.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 boys. They keep me on my toes and they have taught me patience, continuity, endurance, unconditional love and loyalty.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Hire someone that has fair rates, and feels good to you. Getting a vibe off that first meet and greet is important!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I ensure there are no danger areas, I make sure all doors and windows are sealed, there is no food, plants, plastic, wires, toxins, etc in reach of the kitty
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Sitting, waiting, teaching the cats brain that you are safe. You need to associate your smell with positive energy, safety, and treats!

Victoria is the consummate cat care professional! We were nervous being away from our cats so long during our honeymoon, but Victoria made sure they were cared for, fed, and played with every day, sending photos and videos to put us at ease. She also went beyond. Being away from home for a while gave ants an opening to go after our cats' food, a messy situation that Victoria handled graciously. She also was on top of things like our trash collection. In short, we came home to a clean house of happy cats. Would definitely hire again!

I’ve known Victoria for over 20 years, and in all that time she has been the best cat watcher I could ever ask for. She has taken care of my three cats throughout the years, as well as many of the neighborhood cats, and she treats every single one of them with genuine love and patience. Victoria is incredibly knowledgeable about cats of all ages and personalities. Whether it’s a shy kitten, a senior cat with special needs, or even a moody or scared cat, she knows exactly how to approach them and make them feel safe. She also spends extra time to play with them and make sure they are entertained. She’s also extremely reliable when it comes to giving medicine or handling any extra care instructions—everything is always done correctly and on time. What I appreciate most is how attentive and calm she is. Cats just seem to trust her, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands cats and treats them like family, Victoria is absolutely the person you want. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I can't recommend Victoria highly enough as a cat sitter! We lived close to each other in NYC, and she became my absolute go to whenever I needed to travel or had long work days. As someone who genuinely hates leaving home because I worry about my cat Alida, finding Victoria was such a relief! What really sets her apart is how consistent and communicative she is. She sends tons of pictures and updates throughout the day, which honestly makes all the difference when you're away from home. It completely put my mind at ease knowing exactly how Alida was doing. My cat is pretty shy with new people, but Victoria was so patient in building that trust. She never rushed the relationship and let Alida warm up to her naturally. She'd come during the day to check in, play, refresh food and water, and spend time keeping Alida stimulated and happy! Victoria is reliable, responsible, and genuinely loves animals. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Staten Island cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
