What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have sat with kitties that lived in a nursing home when my grandmother was alive. Helping the elderly clean their litter boxes administering light medications feeding them and play time. As well as fostering kitties over covid. Taking them to the vet getting them spayed and neutered and finding them loving homes. Im also a grief and bereavement counselor. I work in pet loss.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really enjoy learning about their personalities. Cats have their own language we can't teach them to talk to us they teach us how to talk to them. All of them are just as unique as we are.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting experience was when I used to cat sit for an elderly lady that my grandmother was friends with. Her name was Miss Mary. And her cat's name was Taffy Taffy used to get into everything! One day Taffy decided to climb on top of the counter and get into the sugar it was everywhere! It was in her fur it was on the counter it was on the floor she was just having a good old time. While I gently picked her up and gave her a bath took her to the vet to make sure she didn't eat any just for the vet to tell me she was okay she was just being naughty. Once we got back I put the sugar up higher where she couldn't get it. Giving her her favorite treats giving her belly rubs. All she slept soundly on my lap.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! Of course! I have 3 kitties. 2 3 year old house panthers. And a very flurry long hair Grey kitty. Leo is my chunky kitty. He wear booties and is an absolute gentleman. He LOVES FOOD AND SNACKS! Salem aka Goo his twin. Is skittish. Chasing shadows and yelling at ghosts. Baby Beans is our talker. Totally a prince!!! 😺

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

You have to make sure you have a good vibe off of them. Are they truly a kitty whisperer!? Do your kitties act weird when their around? Can they hande more than one? Cat people have certain personalities. We get one another. If you get a weird vibe don't move forward !

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Make sure windows and doors are shut. Dont let them out. Let the owner know when you've arrived. And when you're leaving. Dont feed the kitties anything other than what they are fed at home. Some have sensitive tummies. Allergies etc.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! Except for Halloween! I cam do morning check ins and late evening check ins on holidays. I can be pretty flexible.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I lkke the good Ole stick and string with a fish on the end. Lol. Laser pointers. Me if they'll chase me. I dont mind. Little balls with bells are fun. Just gotta make.sure they wont break and cause chocking hazards

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a anxious kitty. He let him come to me. Give him space. Make him feel safe. Offer them treats of course. I honestly let them feel ME out. I'm in THEIR home and safe space. So move slow and be chill

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
