What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who is responsible, trustworthy, patient, and willing to follow your instructions carefully. Every cat has a different personality and routine, so good communication is very important. I believe a sitter should respect your cat’s space, keep you updated during each visit, and care for your home as respectfully as they care for your pet.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to learn as much as possible about the cat before the first visit, including feeding routines, litter box care, personality, favorite activities, hiding places, and any special instructions. I also make sure I have emergency contact information. During each visit, I follow the cat parent’s instructions carefully and provide updates so they can feel comfortable while they are away.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I carefully follow all instructions provided by the cat parent. I make sure doors and windows are secure, keep the cat safely indoors, and pay attention when entering or leaving the home. I keep food, water, and litter areas clean and check that the cat appears comfortable and safe. I also respect the client’s home and communicate promptly if I notice anything unusual.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
