Pets are family, and I take cat sitting your furry family members seriously... I am a long-time cat owner and sitter. I've been cat sitting since childhood, and I began fostering and adopting my own elderly cats in 2018, and ran a "cat retirement community" in my home until 2023. I currently have a spunky 3-year-old kitty named Minnie who loves to play. I would love to help take care of your feline companions!
Pets are family, and I take cat sitting your furry family members seriously. I send daily photos, and I try to spend at least an hour with your cats every time I go to see them. I love playing games with hyper kitties, or bringing a book and snuggling with less energetic kitties.
I have extensive experience with disabled, sick, and elderly cats. I have administered many kinds of medications, from oral pills and liquids to intravenous injections to inhalers. I am happy to make any accommodations for your cat's health and well-being.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Currently I have a 3-year-old kitty named Minnie. She's hyper and spunky and loves to get into trouble. She demands several hours of play time a day, and we love playing tag. I have a small catio set up on my porch, and the two of us will watch birds together on nice days. Up until 2023, I fostered and adopted multiple senior and disabled cats. Some of my favorite babies have been Mavis, a elderly queen with catitude and kidney failure, and Dusty, a shy surrended elderly cat with liver problems. Currently my apartment is too small for multiple cats, but I hope to start fostering more elderly pets in the future!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I am usually in town for all major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Easter. Please reach out if you're looking for a sitter over a holiday!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I love working with timid cats! If there's an anxious kitty in your home, I'm more than happy to let them lead the interaction and allow them to get comfortable with me. I like to sit with cats that hide, and allow them to come out when they're ready. I also have a small arsenal of cat toys and treats to help coax them out of hiding. But if need be, I will sit quietly with a timid cat for hours, until they are ready to say hello.

There is no one I trust more than Emily to keep my cat safe and cared for. My cat is wary of new people because of some bad experiences before I got him. She has no trouble respecting his boundaries and making him feel comfortable. I know I can relax when she’s with him. And the consistent updates and cat pics help too! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
