What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy the most (besides hanging with kitties) is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and building a bond with them. It’s so rewarding to see a shy or anxious cat gradually trust me, and the moments when they come out of thier shell or snuggle up for affection are always so special. I also love the quiet companionship. Whether it’s watching them play, enjoying thier little quirks, or simply sharing a nice moment together. It’s like having a new furry friend for a while, and I cherish the opportunity to care for them in a safe, loving environment!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I grew up with six wonderful kitties, each with thier own spunky personalities! Tybalt is an old man with the most beautiful yellow eyes, Tatiana is shiny black and so silly. Gwen is an orange tabby tortie who is so sassy and sweet, while Luna is grey tabby who is so plump and kind. Frank is so fluffy and if you make eye contact with him he will run away and Willow is the youngest. So slinky and mysterious. Recently, I adopted two new kitties- George, the sweetest grey tabby with all black toe beans except for one pink one (it’s my favorite thing ever) and his sister Toad who is a quirky calico. They both have little white sock feet and I couldn’t be more obsessed!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I approach them with extra patience and understanding. I give the kitty plenty of space to adjust and avoid making sudden movements and loud noises. I let them come to me when they feel comfortable, offering treats or soft words of reassurance. Gradually, I build trust by keeping calm and sticking to a routine to help them feel safe. I also pay close attention to thier body language to avoid overwhelming them, and I respect thier need for thier own space. It’s all about creating a calm environment where they feel safe and secure.

Zoe did a great job caring for my kitties. On the morning I left for my trip, I noticed that one of my kitties had a new problem with his eye. She was amazing about keeping an eye on this and reassuring me that things were OK. I felt very confident in her ability to watch this and know if further care was needed. I would definitely use her again in the future!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
