Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

We have three cats! Colefax (black and brown tabby), Mingo (orange / light brown, grey, and a little white tabby), and Opal (long haired black cat). Opal was found under a friend's car at a gas station and I jumped at the opportunity to adopt her when my friend put out a request for someone to take her in. All of our cats are well loved and distinctly quirky.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Unfortunately no, for major holidays at least. I tend to go visit my or my fiance's family. We've used Meowtel, actually, multiple times for this reason!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always let cats sniff me and make their own decision on if I'm allowed to touch them (bumping their head against my hand or letting their head down). If a cat is particularly timid, I might see if they want to play with a toy or (if permitted), see if they would like a treat. This also allows them to get used to my smell. Generally speaking, I allow the cat to approach on their own terms and do not force anything.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
