Cats have been part of my family since I was a baby, so making feline friends is truly second nature!
I’m a pro at reading a cat’s body language and anticipating their needs, be it some crunchies, pets, or something to sink their claws into. I’m always coming up with new ways to engage cats, and love figuring out each feline’s individual style of play.
I have experience with kitty wrangling for both claw trims and medicine administration, and know how to handle cats in ways that are reassuring and friendly.
I’ve also worked many years as a child caregiver, so if you consider your cats your babies, they’re in great hands with me!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I always love meeting new cats and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with earning a cat’s trust. They truly have such unique personalities and getting to see that as they become more comfortable with you is so special.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I’m conscientious of their environment and always make sure to ask owners about potential hiding places, as well as where cat carriers are located in an emergency. I always check to make sure no hazardous material is accessible to the cats (plastic, toxic plants, etc.), and move anything I notice out of harm’s way. I also am incredibly cautious of doordashers, and make sure to enter and exit the home with utmost care.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Every cat is different, so the care I give ultimately adapts to their individual personalities. With cats that are timid or anxious, I never try to force anything. I make myself as comforting a presence as possible without overwhelming them, and let them show me what they’re comfortable with. I understand that some kitties can take a long time to warm up to new people, and I treat them with the same patience and kindness I would give anyone else. I’m a very nurturing person by nature, and have a lot of experience with acts of soothing and comforting.

We tell everyone we have the most skittish cats ever that rarely make an appearance for a sitter. Evelyn made a liar out of us! The cats came out and took treats from her hand multiple times, something they’ve only done with ME, not even my partner (spare human that feeds them breakfast every day and does their litter btw). Evelyn is a true charmer, great communicator and so easy to work with!

Evie did an amazing job! She was super quick to respond to the request and to schedule a meet and greet with me and Bruce Wayne. Bruce tends to be very wary with new people but he warmed up to Evie right away! She sent fantastic pictures each visit and made sure that Bruce had everything he needed, plenty of playtime, cuddles, and she was kind enough to set up his automatic feeder for his breakfasts each night. I highly recommend Evie!

It was the first time we’d ever left our cat for several days and the updates and photos that Evelyn sent each day - and her obvious, immediate bond with our cat, as though they were old friends - assuaged all of our concerns. Evelyn is an amazing and reliable cat sitter. We were abroad for two weeks and her timely updates (plus really cute pictures!) gave me the peace of mind I needed to know my two voids were receiving plenty of love and care. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Beaverton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
