My cat Minke taught me the value of overnight cat sitting! Even though she's 10 years old now, she is so smart and so athletic that being alone for 22+ hours a day with drop in visits is too frustrating for her. And she takes her frustration out on her daughter Olivine in the form of unappreciated rough play (ambush). Admittedly, she doesn't like to interact much with pet sitters, but it's enough to distract and change the dynamic where she and Olive are united by a having new person in the house.

I am a life-long cat lover and have almost always had at least one in my life, usually two. I volunteer with kitties at local animal shelters here and when I lived in Colorado and have fostered a few times.
I have been a supporter and fan of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for decades. I had a dream of adopting one of their long-term residents. My previous cats had the right personalities, and I was able to bring home Marcus who had been at Best Friends for 12 years. He was so sweet but was shy and had given up on meeting people. He had been dumped there with another cat at age 2, adopted once and returned because he took too long to adjust. I only had him a year, but I wouldn't trade a single day of it.
I recently retired from my civil service career and I'm shifting to being more heart centered and spending time with animals. I am Reiki certified with a gentle energy that kitties are drawn to.
I love love love older kitties. I have given subcutaneous fluids hundreds of times with my own past elderly kitties and I have experience giving injections.
I love photography and will strive to get some fun portraits capturing your cat's essence.
As a homeowner, I am respectful of other's homes and will care for it like my own.

I’ve had kitties all my life. My current cats are a mother-daughter duo. The mom Minke is incredibly smart and athletic needing a lot of play and stimulation. Her daughter Olivine is mellow and sweet.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I’m usually available over holidays. My family lives out of state and given the craziness of holiday travel, we usually get together before or after for more relaxed visits.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
These are my favorite. I can usually win over a timid cat with a calm presence, gentle voice, and not making eye contact to build trust. For those too shy to come around, I’ll speak to them gently and not violate their safe space and respect their boundaries if I’m confident they are ok. And I’m not above turning to Churu…

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
