Hello! My name is Jen, I'm 41 years old, and I have had cats my entire life. I have experience with taking care of my own and with taking care of cats for friends, neighbors, and clients. I am a huge cat lover and have a lot of respect for their varying personalities. There are few things more satisfying than the "not-so-friendly" cat choosing you. I would love to cuddle and love on your kitties, but I understand that not all cats are on board with strangers. Therefore, I will scoop the litterbox, spend time playing with your cat, administer medication (pills/drops), or completely avoid your cat; whatever they need to be taken care of while you're gone! I'm highly attentive to your specific instructions and preferences to ensure your cat receives the best care possible. When I meet a new cat, I approach them with patience and respect for their individual personalities. I allow them to set the pace, giving them space if they're shy or engaging in gentle play if they're more outgoing. Building trust is key, and I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for them to feel at ease.

I am proficient in administering various cat medications, including topical ointments, eye and ear drops, and oral medication and pills. I do not have experience in administering injections or subcutaneous fluids. I understand the importance of precise dosing and maintaining an stress-free environment during medication administration. I provide cat-sitting services in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon, covering various neighborhoods and smaller cities in the area. I’m a stay at home Mom and my children are both in school (5th and 9th grades) which allows me to easily adapt to whatever sitting schedule and location a customer might need.

I take the health and safety of both your cats and you seriously. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. I follow strict COVID-19 protocols and cleanliness practices within clients' homes, including frequent hand washing and mask-wearing (if you request). Rest assured that your cat's environment will always be kept clean and sanitized according to your preferences. Beyond my passion for cats, I'm an avid reader of all genres, I love movies and musicals, and I travel often.

Jennifer gave great updates on how my elder kitty was doing - how he was mood wise, acting, what he was doing, how he was eating. And she gave him lots of petting for purrs! Really put me at ease as he had recently had a health incident. Definitely recommend!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
