I currently have four of my own, and I volunteer as a foster parent for Cat Rescue Adoption Network. I’ve had multiple cats with medical issues, so I am experienced giving medication to non-aggressive cats orally, topically, and via injection if the cat is used to them. 30 minute visits are recommended for sits including medication administration (alternate 25 & 45 min visits when booking via Meowtel & it evens out to 30). I’ve always gravitated toward cats, and I love how you have to earn their trust and respect. Behaviorally, my approach is research-based, using shaping and positive reinforcement to help cats be happy and get their needs met in ways that are acceptable to humans (and I sometimes teach them some tricks!). Kayla
Kat went above and beyond making sure my two cats were fed and happy! She sent daily updates with pictures and videos and even brought interactive toys to encourage them to play. I felt very relieved knowing my cats were so well taken care of while I was away.

Amy
Kat was fantastic with my two cats. She sent photos and videos every day so I knew my cats were happy and playing.

Nicole
Kat did an amazing job with my cats when I was out of town for a few days. She did exactly what I wanted, and had excellent communication. She did beyond what I would expect from a cat sitter. I returned from my trip with happy, fed cats. I highly recommend Kat with your cats. I appreciated the videos, photos, and messages regarding my cats. I would love to have Kat sit for my cats again in the future!

Karin
Kat is such a genuinely kind person with so much knowledge, experience, and expertise working with cats. Mine are not the easiest to care for and Kat handled them with care and grace!

Kurt
Kat is amazing! She took care of our cats for three days, and we couldn’t be more pleased. She provided daily reports with photos and videos. She played with the cats and learned about their quirks and preferences. She is a cat expert, and gave us tips to help with behaviors we’ve seen. We love Kat!

Frequently Asked Questions
The average price for a cat sitter is $26.00.
Every Meowtel cat sitter has been thoroughly vetted, background-checked, and is insured through Meowtel. To ensure total peace of mind while you're away, every Meowtel reservation comes with a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can have full confidence in your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress for your kitties. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend that you book daily visits with your sitter to keep your cats in their routine and to help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
