Hi There. I know it’s hard to leave our little fur babies, but you can trust that I will take great care of them while you are gone.

A little bit about me, I’ve had cats since I was probably 5 years old. We had liter upon liter. (And always found homes, my mom was a schoolteacher.) It was then that I got my first experiences administering medication to those little babies. Throughout the years I’ve administered a variety of meds as needed. But now, my angel kitty needs meds twice a day for the rest of her life. So I have become a pro with liquid administration and with giving a pill. Being a cat person my whole life, I know how to approach cats that aren’t as friendly. I’ve had, and my friends have had, feral kitties. It takes time to build trust, but I am always able to.

Your cats will get as much love as I give mine. I know it’s hard to leave our fur babies, they do get lonely. But I’ll play with them and take care of them just like they were my own. Cats are just so cute and lovable! It’s hard not to pet and play with them.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting off and on for over 20 years. All for friends and family. some have been short, and some have been long. But I am always meticulous in my care.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

First, I enter very cautiously in case there’s a kitty that wants to escape out the front door. Then I am mindful of any open doors, closets, drawers, hiding spaces, etc. I double check everything with regards to the house being locked up before I leave. And if arranged, I’ll turn on and off lights, open and close shades. Whatever would help make it look like someone is home if the client needs

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I approach them slowly and get on ground level with them. Slowly introduce my scent, and pay attention to their BEHAVIORAL cues. And do the eye closed eye contact to let them know they are Alpha. I’m mindful that this is their space that I am coming into.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
