Growing up, I helped family members care for their cats and naturally became the go-to cat person. ā­ļøFor the past six months, Iā€™ve been offering paid cat boarding at my home and have completed several bookingsā€”all with excellent reviews. Each experience has deepened my understanding of different cat personalitiesā€”from shy and reserved to playful and outgoing. I focus on building trust, creating a calm and safe environment, and carefully following each catā€™s individual routine. Whether itā€™s through drop-in visits or boarding, I care for every cat as if they were my own. šŸ¾

I have a cat named Littleā€”heā€™s an orange tabby Iā€™ve had for five years. šŸ§”Heā€™s quiet, gentle, and easygoing, with a very kind temperament. When I first adopted him, he had fleas and a bad cold, so Iā€™ve had experience giving him medication and nursing him back to health. šŸ’ŠI also regularly keep up with his deworming treatments to make sure he stays healthy. Little gets along well with other cats, including those Iā€™ve boarded, and is very tolerant and calm around new feline guests. Heā€™s been a wonderful companion and friendā€”we all adore him so much! šŸ’•

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

šŸ™€I once cared for a very timid cat who was anxious in new environments. On his first day, he wouldnā€™t eat, drink, or leave his carrier. I didnā€™t force any interaction. Instead, I set up a small, quiet room just for him, with everything he needed: food, water, a litter box, and his favorite toy from home. šŸŒ™ I closed the curtains to create a dim, calming space, and placed a blanket inside a cardboard box so he could have a cozy hideout. I gave him privacy and monitored him using a pet camera, without staying in the room to avoid adding stress. šŸ„£ Later that evening, I gently offered him a treat, and to my relief, he began eating and using the litter box normally. Over the next few days, we slowly built trust, and he gradually felt more comfortable, eventually exploring new areas of the house with confidence.

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
