🏠 I currently work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for cats. I recently started offering cat boarding, and I also understand that some shy kitties prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home... 👋🏻 Hi! My name is Hannah (Hanlan) and I’m based in the Gresham area. I grew up around cats and adopted a little orange tabby during the pandemic—he’s now 5 years old! 🐱✨ Many of my friends are also cat lovers, and we often share tips and favorite products with each other. I really enjoy being part of the cat-loving community and getting to know cats with all kinds of personalities.

I recently started offering cat boarding, and I also understand that some shy kitties prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home. I’m happy to do drop-in visits to help with basic care and maintenance.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
🐱I’ve loved and lived with cats since I was a child. Growing up, I helped family members care for their cats and naturally became the go-to cat person. ⭐️For the past six months, I’ve been offering paid cat boarding at my home and have completed several bookings—all with excellent reviews. Each experience has deepened my understanding of different cat personalities—from shy and reserved to playful and outgoing. I focus on building trust, creating a calm and safe environment, and carefully following each cat’s individual routine. Whether it’s through drop-in visits or boarding, I care for every cat as if they were my own. 🐾
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a cat named Little—he’s an orange tabby I’ve had for five years. 🧡He’s quiet, gentle, and easygoing, with a very kind temperament. When I first adopted him, he had fleas and a bad cold, so I’ve had experience giving him medication and nursing him back to health. 💊I also regularly keep up with his deworming treatments to make sure he stays healthy. Little gets along well with other cats, including those I’ve boarded, and is very tolerant and calm around new feline guests. He’s been a wonderful companion and friend—we all adore him so much! 💕
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
🙀I once cared for a very timid cat who was anxious in new environments. On his first day, he wouldn’t eat, drink, or leave his carrier. I didn’t force any interaction. Instead, I set up a small, quiet room just for him, with everything he needed: food, water, a litter box, and his favorite toy from home. 🌙 I closed the curtains to create a dim, calming space, and placed a blanket inside a cardboard box so he could have a cozy hideout. I gave him privacy and monitored him using a pet camera, without staying in the room to avoid adding stress. 🥣 Later that evening, I gently offered him a treat, and to my relief, he began eating and using the litter box normally. Over the next few days, we slowly built trust, and he gradually felt more comfortable, eventually exploring new areas of the house with confidence.

Hannah did a great job taking care of our two cats. Our cats are super paranoid of people, so they refused to come out from hiding, but she made sure that they were eating and using the potty boxes. I felt that my cats were well taken care of. Hannah communicated well, quickly and frequently.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Gresham cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

If a million stars was an option, I would give it. Hannah was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to take care of my babies. She sent loads of pictures every time she visited, and I could tell that the kitties loved her. I would, without a doubt, have her take care of Sid and Purrs again.
