Cats are excellent teachers in how to set boundaries and the key is learning to listen to their cues and respect their boundaries... š Hi, Iām Kate (she/her) and I am experienced cat sitter and cat mom. My beautiful Torbie (Pheebs) recently crossed the rainbow bridge š last year at 14. I wanted to find a way to honor her without replacing her. Helping other cat parents is my way of honoring her.

šI have my own experience administering medications with Pheebs and through cat sitting. I have experience administering medications through topicals, in foods, and via shots (insulin). I understand how stress-inducing leaving your fur baby while they need extra care and attention can be, and I am competent and confident that I can provide that care with compassion and empathy.
šI find detailed instructions to be the best way to communicate your kitties needs and ask you provide these prior to our meet and greet so I can ask any questions at that time.
ā°Please communicate expectations around scheduling. If you need consistency, a particular time of day, I am happy to accommodate but just ask for that notice in advance, so I can schedule accordingly.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cat sitting because it allows me to spend quality time with cats, as I greatly miss my kitty who recently passed away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new family, I recommend meeting prior to get your fur babies comfortable and to set expectations. This helps limit any confusion and allows you to be free to enjoy your time away!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My kitty was particularly anxious, as she had not been socialized with other animals or many people and she was timid around new people. I learned patience and respecting boundaries to be of particular importance. If you have an anxious kitty I will approach with care, even if it is just to be in the same room, so they are not alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
