Currently, I take care of three cats with my boyfriend August. Snitch and Butterbeer of course, as well as Billy, who August adopted in 2020. Billy came from a very unfortunate rescue situation, and is very much a special needs cat due to what we believe to be a neurological disorder... Growing up with cats, and then raising two of my cats from kittens to adults (Snitch and Butterbeer!) has changed my life for the better in so many ways. That being said, I'm more than ready to foster a sense of safety when you have to be away from your little kitties, and would love to step in to do so!
Currently, I take care of three cats with my boyfriend August. Snitch and Butterbeer of course, as well as Billy, who August adopted in 2020. Billy came from a very unfortunate rescue situation, and is very much a special needs cat due to what we believe to be a neurological disorder. I have lots of hands-on experience with behavioral issues (Billy is quite aggressive due to his past trauma) as well as medication schedules and specific feeding instructions. I know that when it comes to Billy, like any other kitty with complicated circumstances, routine is everything.
Right now, alongside caring for our three little kitties, I am entering into the animation industry after having graduated with a BFA in animation! I also am working independently on web comics and animated short films (that star a lot of cats!) I am located in the Southeast Portland area, but can travel anywhere in the Portland Metro area. I can't wait to meet you and your little guys!

Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during most holidays! The exceptions being Christmas and Christmas Eve.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love wand toys that have tassels with something physical (like a mouse!) to grip onto and "get" I've found that these get the most engagement out of the kitties I've met, and gets them a good amount of exercise!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Using gentle caution and letting shy kitties come to me, by doing something that takes the focus off of them (like reading a book or drawing in my sketchbook in an open space) gives them time to observe my behavior and make good judgement on the fact that I'm a safe human! After letting them approach me, giving a personal item for them to sniff, like my glasses or one of my bracelets, all the while being slow in my movements and keeping the environment quiet and calm.

Finn took excellent care of our three cats for 17 days, even letting us add one more day when our return flight was delayed. He provided daily message reports and photos of each cat and the tasks he had done that day, including refilling bird feeders and watering indoor and outdoor plants. He made sure each cat got playtime, fresh water and food, and he cleaned up the occasional messes they created. He was very conscientious and detail oriented, and we returned to a house that was in good order and cats that were well taken care of. I highly recommend Finn!

Finn took amazing care of my 3 kitties! I procrastinated arrangements for a recent trip, so my usual sitter was booked. Finn was open to booking on short notice. Finn asked detailed questions and was willing to adapt to fit my preferences. During my trip, I received detailed updates and cute photos after every visit. Finn knew to watch one cat for the recurrence of a problematic stress behavior, and was willing to add meds to the routine mid-trip and even extend for a day. This gave me peace of mind that my kitties were well cared for. The next time I need a sitter, Finn will be at the top of my list!

This was a our third time booking, Finn is fantastic with our cat Gizmo! Finn is super reliable, easy to coordinate with, and shares really great photos and updates about the visit. They sent us updates and lots of photos and even went above and beyond to take care of our overflowing ice maker each time they came by. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Portland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Finn was absolutely phenomenal! They went above and beyond to make sure our big boy duo was well taken care of, especially with the added stress of construction in our building. Finn gave them extra love and playtime, keeping them happy and comfortable. They were incredibly communicative, updating us about notices on our door, alerting us when we were running low on cat food, and even offering to pick some up for us. Their dedication and care were unmatched. This was truly a 12/10 service, and we would definitely book with Finn again!

Honestly, I can't recommend Finn highly enough. I enjoy getting out of town once in a while, but I always miss my cat pal when I do. Finn set my mind at ease right from the beginning, giving me detailed reports on how each visit went, with great photos.
