Cats to me are the most special little creatures. In primary school I read every nonfiction book on cats available in my library, and some fiction ones. I would like to be friends with every cat I meet, but being that friend is going to look different for every cat. I will always let the kitty take the lead in our relationship, though the human gloves are going on when it's medicine time... I've been the pill-administrator in my circle for years (including my stubborn 15-year-old Momo).
I also come with experience volunteering in a cat hospital, spending my time caring for cats in quarantine. I understand how important it is to get a sick kitty what they need to recover, and that includes lots of love!
It's not an exaggeration to say cats are my favorite part of this world we live in. They are funny, sweet, joyous animals who I want nothing more than to keep happy and healthy. And if a cat wants nothing to do with me? I'm going to provide them what they need, give them some space, and try a slow blink from across the room.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat sitting as long as I've had a driver's license to do so, going on 15 years! I've done a lot of sitting for older cat, cats who need routine medicine, and multi-cat homes.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love developing a relationship with kitties and learning how they like to communicate. String toy or laser pointer? Nap time in the closet or on a lap? No touch, or all the pets in the world?
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My oldest kitty is Momo, she's been with me half of my life at 15 years old and we are inseparable. She's experienced some health troubles of her own that I've worked hard to get her through, and now she lives happy and healthy in her senior years. My younger cat is Ella, a special little 7 year old who I took in from the Humane Society of Southwest Washington when she was about a year. She doesn't quite understand other cats but loves people and gets along well with Momo.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Portland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
