What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My experience has been a dream! I love what I do and I feel like my cats just get me lol. We bond really well as I respect their space, enrich their lives with fun cat-tivties, many cuddles, and their favorite treats. I've been cat-sitting for over 10 years now throughout college and grad school. I do this full-time and am an aspiring cat lady.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I don't! My husband and I live full-time in an RV so I wanted to make sure it's enough space for them before the "cat distribution society" blesses me with a senior cat or kittens to rescue from the wild if one happens to cross our path because I will definitely love to have a home ready for them asap.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would definitely hire someone who has special cat experience for sure. So they'll know things like: 1. keeping the water and food bowl apart from each other is important for cats otherwise they might assume that their water is contaminated, that's why you'll often see your kitty prefer drinking water from the sink, etc. 2. They also need to eat from a plate and not a bowl, since the bowls curved edge will press against their sensitive whiskers causing mild discomfort while eating, that's why cats often leave a ring of kibble in their bowl left untouched. 3. Red laser lights, while fun to use, can cause cats irritation. So just knowing their common behaviors and how they differ from other pet care is important for your sitter to at least be aware of so your cat baby is comfortable and completely satisfied while you're away.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
