After graduating I moved onto foster and pet sitting for friends and family.
A few years ago my ❤️ cat, Neela, was diagnosed with cancer and I became far to familiar with all the care, medicines, sub q fluids and treatments that goes along with that. Her passing actually inspired me to begin my own business creating keepsakes to help hold onto those we love. Running my own business allows me time and flexibility to connect with other animal lovers and offer my services when their lives take them away or get far to busy.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I often help out friends and family with their pets and have come to realize this is service I can offer to many more people.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting the chance to meet any and all animals and I especially love the ‘challenge’ of earning a cat’s trust affection.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite experiences was when I got to cat sit one of my foster ‘kids’. It was really special to get to see her all grown up and full of ‘tortitude’!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently share my home with 3 rescues, 2 siamese mixes, Charlotte and Willow as well as Izzy, a one eyed Persian pirate with a heart murmur.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Whenever I enter a home with cats, I do a visual check first (when possible) and open the door slowly to ensure there aren’t any doorway darters. Once inside I’ll greet anyone who’s eager to see me and then do all the basic checks on food/water litter before moving on to full social engagement.
Are you usually available during holidays?
My holiday availability does vary a bit depending upon family obligations but aside from Christmas I’m likely be able to work with your schedule, send me a message and we’ll see what we can figure out!
What is your favorite cat toy?
The sparkly green ball. Hands down!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I enjoy the change of trying to get shy cats to warm up. I take the slow and steady approach always allow them to come to me. I use a combination of pretending to ignore them while talking quiet and consistently. I often find the movement of a favorite toy or offering of a pet parent approved bribe (treat) works well over time. I also recognize some fluffs are only comfortable with their own humans and am happy to be a passive observer; interaction is to be earned, not demanded.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Furlong cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
