I highly value meet and greets because it gives pets and their owners a chance to meet me in person prior to the visits! I tend to approach cats very gently and cautiously so that they feel safe.
I take notes during the meet and greets to ensure that I have all the information I need for smooth drop ins.
During drop ins, I am experienced in giving wet and dry food, cleaning food and water bowls and tidying up litter boxes. I would then interact with cats as they would like, ranging from playing fetch, giving lots of pets, and hiding treats in the puzzle feeders.
I am also experienced in giving oral liquid medication and small tablets if needed.
Throughout the visit, I’m open to communicating with owners to see if anything needs to be addressed in real time. I also enjoy taking pictures to share! I find that helps to reassure clients that their cat is doing great!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I sat for a very shy cat who would hide behind curtains and under the bed. The owner initially earned me that it would take a while for her to trust me. I tried multiple methods, sitting on the floor, playing some cat friendly videos, and talking to her gently. Within a couple days, she readily came out on her own and kept nudging me for pets. It made me so happy that I was able to provide comfort to her while her owner was away!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a cat named Coco! She’s the queen of my home and will definitely let you know that. She enjoys eating Churus and playing hide and seek. She’s a curious kitty who has made my life better with her company.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
During meet and greets, I ask clients if there is anything: behavioral (escape artists) or general things to look out for. I would keep an eye out during each drop in and double check that everything is in place before ending the visit. If there is something unusual, I am quick to notify clients so that they have the most up to date information. That way, we can address the issue at hand in a way where the kitties remain safe and sound.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
