I am a lifelong cat owner, and I also volunteer at a cat adoption center, so I have experience with both seniors and kittens (& everything in between!)
In the past, Iāve put in a lot of time and care for my own aging, sick cats, so Iām comfortable working with seniors (in... Hi there! While Iām new to formal cat sitting, I have lots of experience with cats! Take a chance on me, I promise I will provide the same care I would for my own cats.

Currently, I have 3 younger boys at home, so Iām also totally used to high energy cats and play time!! My cats are my favorite little buddies, and I understand how much you care about your own pet! I promise to provide the best care I can.
Personally, Iām a pretty calm and reliable gal, so Iām a safe sitter for your cat! I can be ready to either read quietly to keep your shy cat company or play with your boisterous friend! I work in a high school, which means most of my late afternoons, evenings, and weekends are open.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Honestly, cats are just so fun to meet! I know I have needed a pet sitter & it can be stressful to leave your pets in someone elseās care, so I enjoy bringing the kind of care Iād want someone to bring to my own cats.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three boys! Lucca, Cairo, and Finley are all still under four years old, and while theyāre all cuddly and affectionate, I love that they have such different personalities and quirks. For example, Finley wants to play fetch with his toy mouse allllll day every day!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a lot of patience (I taught middle school for over ten years), so I will move at your catās speed and on their terms. Especially since volunteering for a cat adoption shelter, Iāve had a lot of experience with a wide variety of cats, so I am quite good at picking up on their signals.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
