A little about me:
I moved to Pittsburgh in 2018 from my hometown of Buffalo, NY. When I'm not hanging out with and snuggling with cats, spend my time as a pet portrait artist. I live in Swissvale with my fiancé and our wonderful cat family. I started cat sitting with Meowtel because, simply, I love cats! My goal in life is to meet every single cat I hear about and become their new best friend... Hello! My name is Aubrey.
A little about me:
I moved to Pittsburgh in 2018 from my hometown of Buffalo, NY. When I'm not hanging out with and snuggling with cats, spend my time as a pet portrait artist. I live in Swissvale with my fiancé and our wonderful cat family. I started cat sitting with Meowtel because, simply, I love cats! My goal in life is to meet every single cat I hear about and become their new best friend.
During my visits, I will:
-- feed your cat(s) according to your instructions
-- refill their water bowls and/or fountains
-- give medications if needed (I'm experienced in giving insulin shots as well as oral medications)
-- engage in playtime, snuggles, pets, head scratches, and tell them repeatedly how cute and perfect they are
-- scoop their litter box(es)
-- clean cat-related messes
-- water your plants, if requested
-- send you text updates and pictures of your kitties
I know how stressful it is to leave town and wonder how your cats are doing while you're away. I care for my clients' cats like they're my own and give as many updates as you ask for (and probably more). I'm excited to work with you and your kitties! :)

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting with Meowtel since 2023, and have loved my experience. The cats and cat parents I've met have made this work infinitely rewarding.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Of course I love all of the friendly cats I've met, but my favorite is when I can earn the trust of a shy kitty!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, four! Willow: Dilute tortie with lots of "tortitude" Rue: Black diva with a Queen complex Gary: Grey tabby who is lovable but never gets the brain cell Levi: Biiig orange boi... Also never gets the brain cell
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Your sitter should show respect towards you, your cat(s), and your home. They should also be someone you trust and look forward to booking with in the future.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let them tell me whether or not they are ready to be friends yet. I give them space, make only limited eye contact, and move softly and quietly. I will usually talk to them in a soft voice, and sometimes I will play relaxing cat music on my phone at a low volume. I've had several shy cats come around and now we're best friends!

Aubrey was excellent! After recently moving to the area, we were nervous to find a new cat sitter and were beyond impressed with her! She took careful notes and asked thoughtful questions during our meet and greet. Our cat is on the shy side, and she took time to let him warm up to her. What can I say about Aubrey other than AWESOME!! Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Pittsburgh cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

I can’t even begin to say enough good things about Aubrey! She honestly gave us sooo much piece of mind while we were away. From the start of our first meeting she made sure to take notes and we greatly appreciated that since are one cat has pica! Aubrey made sure to let us know when she would head over and when she was leaving with a summary of how it went. At one point she even brought filtered water just in case our water had been shut off due to a water line break. Her pictures are honestly the best I’ve seen of our cats! While we were gone, she messaged to let us know when she was heading over, what she did while she was there, and when she was leaving. It was great to work with Aubrey! She sent photo and video updates. My cat takes a minute to open up but she was very patient and I came home to a very happy kitty. It can be stressful leaving your pet behind but I had peace of mind knowing she was getting great care.
