I love getting to meet new cats and their parents! It's been a great way to meet new cats without adding to my home (my 3 keep me plenty busy as is)! :)

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Every cat sitting reservation is memorable in its own unique way, so narrowing it down to a single favorite is tough. Each cat has their own personality and charm that makes the time spent with them special. This is an impossible question! :)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I’m lucky to share my life with three amazing girls: Lyanna, Arya, and Sansa. Lyanna and Sansa are Nebelung kitties, with their stunning mist-like, long grey fur. Arya, on the other hand, is a speckled dilute calico with a huge personality that always keeps things interesting. I absolutely adore my girls and love sharing pictures of them!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

When looking for a cat sitter, make sure they have experience with cats and can provide references or reviews from past clients. It’s a good idea to meet them first to see how they interact with your cat. You’ll also want someone reliable and can handle emergencies, so ask how they’d deal with that. Don’t forget to go over your cat’s specific needs, like medication or special care, so they’re well prepared ahead of time.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My approach to cat care goes beyond just feeding and petting. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with both the cats I care for and their owners. I always take time to meet with pet parents beforehand to understand their cats’ unique needs, personalities, and preferences. This personalized approach ensures I can deliver the best care possible. I’m also a firm believer in preparing for all scenarios—both the best and the unexpected—by gathering all necessary information and planning. Life is full of surprises, and I want to be ready for whatever comes up to make sure your kitty is safe and comfortable.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure the safety of both the cats and the home by familiarizing myself with the environment, securing windows, doors, and any potential hazards. I always respect the cats' space, following their routines and letting them come to me when they're ready. I keep their food, water, and litter boxes clean, and I’m always mindful of their comfort and well-being. I stay alert to any changes in their behavior or health and keep emergency contact info on hand, including the nearest vet location, just in case. I also make sure I can locate each kitty during every visit to ensure everyone’s accounted for! Throughout the sitting, I stay in touch with the owner, providing updates to keep them reassured and updated on their kitties staycation.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I’m usually available for most holidays and can often accommodate last-minute requests. Whether you’re planning a trip or just need an extra hand during a busy season, I’m happy to make sure your cats are cared for and loved while you’re away. If you have specific dates in mind, holiday or otherwise, feel free to reach out, and I’ll do my best to work with your schedule. Your kitties comfort and happiness are always my top priority!

What is your favorite cat toy?

I absolutely love playing with feather toys. They always seem to be a hit! There’s something about watching them leap and pounce that never gets old. My own cat, Sansa, is particularly skilled with them. You'd think she was auditioning for Cirque du Soleil with the acrobatics she pulls off. It’s one of my favorite ways to bond with her and bring out her playful side.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I believe that animals, like humans, deserve respect, patience, and understanding. When interacting with cats, I prioritize their comfort by never pushing boundaries or rushing them to interact. Instead, I approach them gently and give them space to come to me on their own terms. I make a point to not disrupt the normal day-to-day for them, allowing them to feel safe and in control of their environment. To create a calming atmosphere, there have been times I have played soothing music when in their home—sometimes it’s as much for me as it is for them, helping me stay grounded and keep any stressed energy at bay.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
