My name’s Holly, I’m 35, & I’ve had and loved cats all my life! I have a kitty myself, his name is Astro, he’s a striped tabby at almost 4 years old. Astro showed up on my porch a few years ago, the cat distribution system finally paid me a visit! Even though Astro has FIV, he’s an otherwise happy and healthy baby boy.
I sadly lost my precious baby Luna last July unexpectedly. Luna was a gorgeous 11 year old flame point Siamese, she was my angel baby and mommy’s sidekick and she will forever hold a special place in my heart! I’ve been sitting cats for over 12 years overall, and nearly 2 years on Meowtel! I have experience with shy kitties, kitties needing medicine - including shots, FIV cats, and multiple cat households - including complex feeding arrangements. I have vast experience with electronic feeding devices, water fountains, and litter robot devices if you need assistance with those during your absence.
I am very attentive to detail and will always make sure to honor your requests for my visits. This includes but is not limited to, checking the food and water levels, scooping all cat litter boxes or checking to make sure automated boxes are in good order, distributing medications and or treats per approval, and various household care such as checking your mail, bringing in packages, taking out the trash, wiping down common spaces, and watering your plants! I am open to any small task I can help you with during my stay!

When I started with Meowtel, I was in the Charlotte area, I lived in Charlotte for 10 years. I grew up in Lancaster, SC and moved back here after my job became remote and I gave birth to my son Maksym in 2025. I work remotely as an Executive Director for an all women-ran national nonprofit organization. I am passionate about human rights and I love music! I sing and I listen to nearly every genre. I also love video games, binging corny dating shows like 90 day Fiancé, and FaceTiming my long distance fiancé and Maksym’s father, Vlad, in my free time. I am a very outgoing and loving person and I never meet a stranger!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been watching cats for friends, family, and coworkers for years, over 12. I’ve been working on Meowtel for nearly 2 years now. I have experience with shy kitties, kitties needing medicine - including shots, FIV cats, and multiple cat households - including complex feeding arrangements. I have vast experience with electronic feeding devices, water fountains, and litter robot devices if you need assistance with those during your absence.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I love most about cat sitting is I’m helping the cat and their owner feel comfortable - all while feeling like I’m getting a reward as well. I absolutely love being around cats!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a nearly 4 year old fur baby named Astro, he’s a striped tabby full of energy and love!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Ensure they get along with your cats and fit what you’re looking for with a pre consultation visit. Make sure to think of any questions or concerns you may want to address with them prior to the appointment so everyone is as prepared as possible!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Communication is key! Making sure I understand exactly what I can do to assist the most is where I start. I like to make sure the owner and the cat are fully comfortable with me. Next I like to ensure I’m fully aware of each requirement asked of me so I know I handle all of it while they’re away
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always ensure when I’m entering and exiting a home that I’m extra careful. When I’m playing with cats, I always like to double check their collars for proper fitting. I also make sure to take into consideration special feedings with multiple cats so everyone is comfortable
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I will always make sure to black out dates on my calendar that I’m not available. Feel free to send me a message if you ever have questions about specific dates that may not be open on my calendar yet!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I don’t think anything will ever beat the cat laser for me! I could have fun with one of those for hours!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have lots of patience. I’ve worked with timid and anxious cats before. You have to allow the cat to accept you on their own timeline.

I was so worried about my cats with their medication and specific food needs. I haven’t been away much in the last 10 years. Holly made everything so amazing. She was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, sent amazing pictures and videos every day and kept an eye on the small details to make sure I stayed completely up to date. Holly cared for my sweet little fella Oobi for about a week, and her services were very much appreciated. She was responsible, professional, reliable, and so very kind throughout the entirety of the process. Oobi has some special needs (particularly in the feeding department) and she was more than happy to have me go through some detailed instructions & hands-on demonstrations in order to best manage Oobi’s unique needs. Holly consistently updated me with cute photos and videos during feeding time so as to let me know how Oobi was doing. He was super happy from the attention, and got all the treats he deserved! It was my first time leaving Oobi for multiple days, and let me tell you that Holly truly helped give me peace of mind that Oobi was in good hands. She loved on him like you would love on your own little fur baby, which truly warmed my heart. I highly recommend Holly as a trustworthy and caring sitter. Holly is a great communicator~ both with me AND our fur babies! We arranged a meet and greet first, and right away I could tell she spoke the language of felines! She was able to understand and implement my many written instructions, and also paid special attention to scared kitties that wanted to hide at mealtime. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Lancaster cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
