My name is Kaitlin Cruz, I’m 20 years old, and I’ve loved and cared for cats my entire life. Cats have always been part of my family, and I currently care for four of my own, each with their own personalities and health needs. Over the years, I’ve developed strong cat-specific skills like reading body language, administering medications, maintaining litter boxes, and creating a calm, safe environment for every cat.
During cat sitting visits, I make sure every part of their routine is followed closely. This includes feeding, refreshing water, scooping litter, administering medication if needed, and of course spending quality time playing, bonding, and giving them attention at their comfort level. I also keep a close eye on their behavior and health to make sure everything is normal.
Personality-wise, I’ll be honest—I’m completely cat-obsessed (in the best way). I’m patient, gentle, and I truly respect each cat’s individual personality, whether they’re shy, playful, or somewhere in between.
What really sets me apart is my experience working at the front desk of an emergency veterinary hospital, VCA Animal Hospitals. That experience taught me how to recognize urgent situations, stay calm under pressure, and understand the importance of proper, attentive care. Your cat’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is earning each cat’s trust and building a bond with them. Every cat is different, and it’s so rewarding to see shy cats come out of their shell, playful cats get excited to see me, and knowing they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I love being able to keep their routine consistent, give them attention, and make sure they feel loved while their owner is away. As a cat mom myself, I know how important that peace of mind is, and it means everything to me to provide that for someone else.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 4 and i’m fostering 1, My cats names are Bug, Ecko, Luna, and Tobias. I am currently fostering a sweet cat named Kitty.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is a feather on a string because it taps into their natural hunting instincts. It keeps cats mentally stimulated, active, and excited, and it’s a great way to bond and build trust with them through interactive play.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chattanooga cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $22.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
