What I enjoy most about cat sitting is the opportunity to bond with each unique feline personality. Building trust and forming connections with these furry friends is incredibly rewarding. I cherish the moments of quiet companionship, the playful interactions, and the satisfaction of knowing that I'm providing comfort and care to cats while their owners are away. It's a privilege to be welcomed into their world and to make a positive difference in their lives.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Teenage girls are always going to try to save anything with fur or feathers. A young girl found a kitten with her eyes still closed. She googled how to take care of it and did a good job until the demands of school made it too hard. I took over and fostered the kitten until she was able to eat and use a litter box.. The girl was so excited to get her kitten back when the kitten was big enough and didn't need as much daily care.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 10 mth old (as of April, 24) tuxedo who was found abandoned at 1 day old. He had to be bottle-fed and is now a healthy, happy, very inquisitive kitty. His name is Gary because he was found at Gary's Putter Golf in PA.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available for holidays, but do require a 2 week notice.

What is your favorite cat toy?

It's actually a puzzle for dogs that gives treats when solved. My cat loves them (he has several). I fill them with cat treats and he doesn't quit until he has all his treats. I started off giving him the puzzles for cats, but they were too easy for him.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With timid or anxious cats, I approach with patience and gentleness, allowing them to acclimate to my presence at their own pace. I create a calm environment, using soothing tones and avoiding sudden movements. I offer treats and engaging toys to build trust and positive associations. I respect their boundaries and provide hiding spots for comfort. Regular, consistent visits help establish familiarity and reduce anxiety. By observing their body language and adjusting my approach accordingly, I ensure they feel safe and secure in my care, fostering a bond based on trust and understanding.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
