I love cats- all of them! For nearly ten years, I've volunteered in animal shelters, cat sat for friends, family, and recently Meowtel clients too. I'm familiar with cats of all personalities. I have my own rescue boy, Charlie Tuna, and he is the love of my life! He is a very spoiled, energetic orange tabby with a sweet demeanor. When I go out of town, it's very important for me to know my baby is in good hands, so hopefully I can give you peace of mind while you're away.

My availability varies by day, so I do prefer the flexible booking option. However, if your kitty's needs require a certain timeframe I will do my best to make it work! I have a wide range of sitter options, from 20 to 60 minutes. You can send me a message to discuss my availability, if your location is within my radius, and any special requests you might have.
During my visit I will:
-feed your cat(s) according to your specifications
-administer medications, if needed
-scoop or change the litter
-play with your cat(s) and love them like my own
-pick up your mail or packages
-take care of your house plants
-send you lots of photos and videos, of course!
Every cat is different, so their care will be customized to their specific personalities and needs. If your cat is shy, I won't force them to interact with me, but I will try my best to gain their trust. If they want to play the whole time, I'm game. If they want to snuggle, I'm here for that as well! Their happiness will be my top priority, and they are the boss!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to meet and bond with kitties of all varieties. Cats are my favorite animals, and spending time with them always brightens my day!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one very spoiled orange tabby named Charlie Tuna. He is a rescue and the light of my life. I truly don't know what I would do without him!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When a new cat parent reaches out to me, I always plan a meet and greet before a reservation begins to ensure we're a good fit. We'll go over feeding routines, litter and water locations, favorite toys, and any medications or special requests like watering plants or checking the mail. Once we're on the same page, I'll get the key or key code for when the reservation starts.
Are you usually available during holidays?
My availability during the holidays is generally the same, but on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve I'll only be available for morning and mid-day visits.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is the feather on a string. I like to think of it as a "cat-fishing rod."
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Speaking calmly and softly is always a good approach. Often times, I'll sit on the floor and wait for the cat to approach me. Treats are often great motivators as well. The worst thing I can do is force a timid cat to do something scary for them, so patience is key.

Emily was absolutely amazing. Two out of my four cats are usually very shy and easily scared around new people, but they warmed up to her so quickly and genuinely seemed to love her visits. It was such a relief to know they were comfortable and happy while I was away. She also sent photos and updates every time she came, which meant a lot to me. Seeing my cats relaxed, playing, or even eating well made me feel completely at ease. I could tell she truly cared about them. I’m really grateful for how attentive, gentle, and thoughtful she was. I would definitely recommend Emily to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dickson cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
