What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have worked for two pet care companies in Nashville (Good Mojo and Helping Hands) as well as worked for other pet sitting apps. I have over 12 years of experience and have many clients of my own that I have had for several years. I have cared for cats of all ages and have experience and feel comfortable administering meds

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What’s not to love? I love cats and always have! I get so excited when I see my kitty friends. It is also so special building relationships with them. I have had cat clients that their cats took years to come around when I would stop by but once they finally trusted me and wanted to be around me it was so heart warming!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I don’t think I have a favorite. All cats are different and all have different personalities. There is definitely specific things that I love about all the kitties I watch. Some love belly rubs ( I know crazy but they do exist) some get so excited about treats, some are so silly and love to play and chase toys. There is many things to love about cats!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Maybe one day! Right now I have a pup named Blade. He is scared of cats but would love to have one again someday!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I usually ask to set up a Meet and Greet. However, if time is pressed a detailed video is always great!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure safety of the cat and their home by making sure all doors and windows are shut and locked (no escapees on my watch). Also by making sure any alarms are set! And if I do notice something out of the ordinary asking the pet parent about it.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I usually take off every other Christmas, but other than that I am happy to spend holidays with kitties!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space. Once they are ready they will come to me, and if they aren’t that is okay too!

Ryan was amazing! This was my first time scheduling with Meowtel and Ryan went above and beyond. She had an issue with my door on the first day. Immediately called me. I missed the call but did contact her and explain the issue. She took care of my cat but also noticed my strays I feed. I didn't want to bog her down with extra chores and my neighbors sort of feed the strays as well. Ryan informed me that she fed those cats as well. And swept up litter and scooped my cat's box which I didn't even ask her to do. She also washed all the dishes. I have a very skiddish cat, but she was fine when I returned home. I'd use Ryan again in a heartbeat!! She's awesome!!

This was our first time using a pet sitter and Ryan exceeded all our expectations! We have a shy older orange tabby and Ryan made sure to seek him out everyday in his hiding spots and send us photos so we could see he was doing well. We were able to relax while we were away knowing our old man was well taken care of in the comfort of his home rather than a boarding facility. We will definitely be requesting Ryan again when we have the need!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
