When I visit, my goal is to make your cat feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to spend time playing, g... Hi! I’m Lauren, and I’ve been a cat person for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats and currently have a cat of my own, so I know just how much our furry friends become part of the family. I’m comfortable with cats of all personalities, whether they’re playful and social or prefer to take some time to warm up.
When I visit, my goal is to make your cat feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to spend time playing, giving pets and cuddles, refreshing food and water, cleaning litter boxes, and giving your cat plenty of attention and affection. I’ll also make sure to keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your kitty is in good hands.
I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with cats. I’d love the opportunity to meet your furry friend and give them the same care and attention I’d want someone to give my own cat!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality, giving them love and attention, and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I also love getting some playtime and cuddles in whenever they’re interested!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I grew up with a childhood cat named Polo, and I now have my own cat named Luna! I absolutely adore them both and love being around cats.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have experience with anxious and timid cats through my own cat, Luna. I understand that every cat has a different personality, so I’m patient and give them plenty of space and time to feel comfortable. I never force interaction and instead let them approach me when they’re ready. I use a calm voice, gentle movements, and positive attention to help build trust. I’m happy to follow each cat’s routine and their owner’s instructions to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while I’m there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
