I’m extremely detail protected and a clear communicator, and I work hard to align with each pet parent’s expectations... Hi my name is Andrea, and I’ve been an animal lover from DAY ONE! I’ve always gravitated towards four legged friends and truly believe animals are family. I care for every cat as if they were my own, with the same love, patience and attentiveness I give my babies. I’ve have cats in my home since childhood and have spent the last 10 years in Austin pet sitting, incongruous caring for long term, routine clients and cats with varying medical care needs.
I’m extremely detail protected and a clear communicator, and I work hard to align with each pet parent’s expectations. I wor a full time from home position as a metal haltb line operator, which allows me flexibility and the ablogjy to be fully present during my visits. I take pet care very seriously and myappoarch is the same as any other role with professionalism, compassion, and responsibility. Cat sitting is also something I genuinely enjoy! It’s grounding, caking and a win win for both pets and sitter.
What sets me apart is my background in the sciences and my experience caring for pets with special needs. I have hands on experience with higher need animals (including my own tripod dog), and I’m comfortable managing multi-pet households. I’m meticulous, cautious, and deeply completed to providing safer, attentive and loving care.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a mane coon named Baby, and two dogs named Woofs and Ben. Baby definitely runs the house - she’s incredibly intelligent, she trained herself to use a bell to alert for her mealtimes and lives by a very strict schedule. She’s trying the boss, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🌎🐾
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety starts at the meet and greet. I take time to learn each cat’s habits, behaviors and any signs of escape tendencies, and I ask detailed questions about routines and home expectations. I’m very intentional about entry/exit safety - opening doors carefully, keeping them narrow, and securing them quickly behind me. I always also visually locate each car during visits, even fight means checking favoriting hiding spots like closets, under beds, or behind furniture. We’d disucuss any home security systems, community safety concerns, and any special instructions so I can follow the hose holds safer plan exactly. My goal is to make sure both your pet and you home are always secure.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
No cat is a challenge for my patience. Just like in mental health work, every cat’s emotional and behave needs are different, and I adjust my approach accordingly. I never force interaction, always respct their space and focus on creating a calm, low stress environment. I allow cats to engage in their own pace, provide gentle presence and prioritize emotional safety as much as physical safety. I especially value building ongoing relationships wit pet partners so we can advantage to care approaches over time and support each cat’s comfot, confidence, and wellbeing.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
