Hello, my name is Jaycie! I’m currently a full time college student doing online schooling through Arizona State University. I live with a sweet cat named Comet, who I got a little over a year ago after we spotted her all alone as a kitten living in an old car. I also grew up with three cats named Zeus, Goose, and Ninja, and they currently live in my hometown of San Antonio, TX!

I’ve been loving and caring for cats for as long as I can remember. I have experience in working with shy kitties, playful kitties, wounded kitties, grumpy kitties, and more! Befriending countless cats has allowed me to understand their body language, comfort levels, and any little personality traits that makes each cat special!

I strive to make sure each cat has personalized care. I am great at following instructions and staying aware of how a kitty may be feeling. During each visit to your home I will be sure to have intentional and meaningful playtime with your kitty.

I will be respectful of your home, be punctual, keep you updated, and send pictures of your cat!

I want to treat every cat with a great amount of love, care, affection, and patience, just like I would my own. I hope to meet you and your kitty soon!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I cat sat my first cat when I was in 7th grade which was about 9 years ago! I have always had cats in my home though.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love getting to meet new cats and learn about their personalities. Im grateful that I am able to confidently give a cat proper care while their owner is away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a cat named Zeus who is quite the anxious kitty so I have plenty of experience in an area like this. I always approach things slowly. I will make myself smaller and not move quick at all. I wilk stick to their routine and ensure that they are as comfortable as possible.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
