Cat Sitting in Cedar Park, TX

Hi, my name is Ray! If I could come back as any animal, it would be a cat. They are so often misunderstood. My favorite thing about them is how every cat is different and full of personality. I love getting to learn each new cat. I’ve always had a special bond with animals, but cats have held my heart since I was young. It all started with my neighbor’s cat, Chocolate Drop. He was known for being, well, not great with people. I made it my mission to learn how to befriend him. All he needed was patience and respect to show me he was a sweet, cuddly boy!

I worked at a local cat sitting company for 2 years, where I was one of their main medical sitters. I also quickly became the go-to for anxious cats who needed some extra patience...

He was known for being, well, not great with people. I made it my mission to learn how to befriend him. All he needed was patience and respect to show me he was a sweet, cuddly boy!

I worked at a local cat sitting company for 2 years, where I was one of their main medical sitters. I also quickly became the go-to for anxious cats who needed some extra patience. I loved working there because it gave me the opportunity to learn and build connections with so many new feline friends while helping their parents feel confident that their furry family was in good hands.

My current baby and best friend is my little old man Oscar. I took him in as a kitten from my grandpa’s ranch 15 years ago. After my experience working as a veterinary assistant, Oscar was my first introduction to caring for a special needs cat at home. He is diabetic, was born with heart disease, had a PU when he was 2 for urinary impactions, and is being managed for kidney disease and arthritis. Putting my heart into giving him a good life has ignited my passion for caring for cats with special needs.

While so much of building a feline connection is intuitive, I also thrive on instructions and will happily follow yours to a T. It’s my goal to ensure that both you and your cat(s) feel confident and safe about the care you receive from me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite reservation was with Lorax. He was this beautiful gray tabby whose parent was away for about a month. Lorax had a really hard time with the change at first, and was hiding and lashing out for the first few days. Since I was there twice a day though, he slowly got used to me while I chatted with him and gave him the space he needed. Long before the end of the month, we were good friends! He would even greet me at the door to give me some hello rubs! This experience was hands down the most rewarding for me because I could really see the difference I was making in helping Lorax feel more comfortable at home.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My current baby and best friend is my little old man Oscar. I took him in as a kitten from my grandpa’s ranch 15 years ago. Oscar was my first introduction to caring for a special needs cat at home. He is diabetic, was born with heart disease, had a PU when he was 2 for urinary impactions, and is being managed for kidney disease and arthritis. I put my heart into giving him a good life. Even after all he’s been through, he is still the sweetest and cuddliest boy I know.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I think the most important parts of working with anxious kitties are to respect their boundaries and project calm energy. Cats are extremely expressive and will let you know what they need. I will always find a kitty who is hiding, and sit nearby while chatting to try and coax them out (with treats if allowed!). But if Fluffy wants to stay where they’re at, I’ll let them know I’m there and continue chatting while I go about my business and take care of their needs. Sometimes all a kitty needs is to know that their food bowl is full and that they are not alone.

Ray’s greatest strengths are his reliability, calm demeanor, and genuine attentiveness. He is highly observant, communicates clearly, and takes responsibility seriously, which is especially important when caring for cats who may be shy, anxious, or set in their routines. He approaches care with patience and respect, earning trust rather than forcing interaction. His professionalism, consistency, and thoughtful approach make him an excellent choice for cat owners looking for someone dependable and compassionate.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Cedar Park cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
