Hi! I’m Ashley- a lifelong cat lover who has grown up caring for cats of all personalities, from playful kittens to independent seniors. I understand how important routine, comfort, and trust are for cats, and I focus on creating a calm, stress-free experience while you’re away.

For cats who enjoy it, I love a good cuddle session and interactive playtime- whether that’s wand toys, laser pointers, or simply quality time together. For more reserved cats, I’m equally happy giving them space while making sure all their needs are met.

I’m reliable, detail oriented, and comfortable with feeding routines, litter care, and administering medications when needed. You’ll receive updates and photos during each visit so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every cat like one of my own and would love to care for yours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Cats are family, and leaving them with someone new can be stressful- especially when they’re you’re whole heart. My advice is to look for a sitter who truly understands that and treats your cat with the same care and attention they’d want for their own. A great cat sitter will follow your routines closely, notice small changes, and provide thoughtful updates and photos so you never have to wonder how your cat is doing. That reassurance goes a long way. When you feel confident that your cat is safe, cared for, and loved, it makes being away so much easier- for both you and your cat.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I start by learning as much as I can about your cat and their routine- feeding schedules, litter care, favorite toys, personality quirks, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I know every cat is different, so I want to make sure I’m meeting their needs from day one. Before the first visit, I make sure expectations and communication preferences are clear, including how often you’d like updates. During visits, I stick closely to your routine and spend quality time with your cat, whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or simply calm companionship. You’ll receive thoughtful updates and photos so you always know how things are going. My goal is to build trust with both you and your cat so that you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I approach timid or anxious cats with patience, calm energy, and respect for their boundaries. I never force interaction. Instead, I let the cat set the pace and focus on creating a safe, predictable environment. Sometimes that means sitting quietly nearby, moving slowly, and speaking softly. Other times it’s simply making sure their basic needs are met and giving them space while they get used to my presence. I pay close attention to body language and small cues so I can adjust my approach as needed. My goal is for anxious cats to feel safe and unpressured. Even if they don’t want interaction right away, I want them to know they’re respected, cared for, and in good hands.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

El Paso cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $22.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
