What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I think what I enjoy most is seeing all the Different breeds and personalities that I come across. It’s such a wide variety that it’s a whole different world. I love when I bond with them as well because it makes me feel like I can be trusted anywhere! Cats have great intuition and instincts so I’d like to believe they know when someone belongs!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I do! I have two cats of my own one boy and one girl, both rescues! My boy cat is 4 years old and his name is Ludwig he’s a grey tabby cat and he has the biggest personality and loves everyone! My girl cat is 6 years old and her name is Sammie, she is a brown tabby kitty and comes from an abusive past. It took almost a year to gain her trust but it was so worth it. She is the sweetest most gentle baby I’ve ever came across. I’m pretty sure at this point I am her emotional support human!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I work very well with these type of cats because I have a timid one of my own! It took me a whole year to gain her trust. Patience is a virtue! I believe that the key with shy cats is that you have to make them feel like they are calling all the shots. They have to know that they have full control of the situation so I just let them lead and I follow their tempo!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
