What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats for several years, both my own and others. Beyond my own two (Finn & Olive), I’ve also provided cat sitting for friends, family, and local cat parents, giving me experience with shy, playful, and senior cats alike.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Your cat’s safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions to keep things consistent and stress-free. During each visit, I make sure doors and windows are secure, litter is clean, and everything in the home is just as you left it. I also provide regular updates with photos or notes, so you have peace of mind knowing your cat is cared for and your home is safe. I never leave the house without knowing exactly where my own cats are and I follow this same rule for yours as well!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take a very patient and gentle approach with shy or anxious cats. I let them set the pace and focus on creating a calm environment. Sometimes that means sitting quietly nearby so they feel comfortable, using slow blinks and soft tones, or offering toys and treats when they’re ready. Because one of my own cats, Olive, is very sensitive to sounds, new people, and new situations, I’ve learned how important it is to respect boundaries and read subtle body language. My goal is always to help timid cats feel safe and secure, whether that means quiet companionship or simply keeping a watchful eye while giving them their space.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
