What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat sitting on and off for years. I'd say I'm expert level when it comes to cats. 🐈
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Meeting new, cats experiencing new personalities. Also, disabled and special needs kitties have a special place in my heart.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I can’t say that I have one favorite memory, but there’s one thing that always brings a smile to my face: when an existing client asks me to sit for them again weeks or even months later, and their cats actually remember me. It brings my heart so much joy to know they remember me as the giver of treats and the hands that give them love and affection. There’s something incredibly special about earning a cat’s trust and being welcomed back into their little world.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 kitties of my own. Toby is a Cornish Rex, Rudy is a Devon Rex, Hank the Tank is a domestic short hair.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust your gut, trust your instincts. Always do a meet and greet and its okay if its not a good fit. Keep looking till you find the right person.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Typically, my process starts with listening. I love hearing the story of how long someone has had their cats, how their cats came into their lives, and all the little stories in between. Those details help me understand the bond between the owner and their cat, and they often give me valuable insight into each kitty’s personality, routines, and individual needs. The more I understand about that relationship, the better I can provide the extra care, patience, and attention that each particular kitty may need.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always keep a careful eye when coming and going from the house to make sure no cats slip outside. I’ve even been known to take a quick photo of myself waving goodbye to the house, just to show that the door is securely shut before I leave!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I usually stick close to home on most holidays. I can easily fit in a drop in on holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Laser pointer or the feather attached to a door frame. Quilt monster is a good one too any exercise good. 😉
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Give them space and time and tempt with treats with the owner's permission. Cats will come out when they are ready. Draging them out of only stresses them out. I try not to do that unless they need medication or in case of emergency.

I highly recommend Kelly for pet care. She was prompt in arranging then arriving for our meet & greet. She paid close attention and asked great questions while I explained our 2 senior cats' routines. The moggies warmed to her immediately, surprising me because they're usually wary of new people. Kelly also kindly agreed to a last-minute request to feed our 2 aquaria of fish. During our absence Kelly consistently followed the not-simple feeding instructions, and sent me a message and photos at every visit. She also didn't hesitate to call our daughter when she discovered I'd forgotten to leave the fish-feeding instructions. When we returned it was clear that Kelly had kept everything as clean or cleaner than when she'd arrived, and had regularly cleaned the litter boxes and water dishes. Kelly is personable, intelligent, and mature, and all-in-all a very reassuring carer for our precious moggies (and fish!)

Kelly was awesome! Very patient, gentle, and kind to my cat Raya. She was mindful of Raya's medical condition of the liver lesion and did everything to give her space, feed her on time, and play. Kelly was always available to reach out to and was very transparent. We feel comfortable and confident in using Kelly in the future for any other vacation plans if we need Raya to be watched while we are gone. Also Kelly took care of my plants and made sure they were watered and growing well.

Kelly was INCREDIBLE. We had a difficult situation where we had to administer meds and vitamins in addition to a special liquid twice daily and she handled it all beautifully! She also spent extra time with our kitty helping her feel comfortable and she sent us pics daily of our kitty. I will definitely be using her services again and have recommended her to all of my friends who own cats as well! I would highly recommend her.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Keller cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Kelly has cared for our cats on two separate occasions, and each time she did an outstanding job. She followed all of our instructions carefully and sent pictures of our cats during every visit, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats is extremely shy and usually hides from anyone she doesn't know. Surprisingly, she came out of hiding during each of Kelly's visits and even allowed Kelly to see and photograph her.
