What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is the opportunity to build trust and form a bond with each cat on their own terms. Every cat has a unique personality, and I find it deeply rewarding to earn their comfort and affection, especially when they start off shy or reserved. I also enjoy maintaining their routines and creating a calm, secure environment while their humans are away. It’s fulfilling to know that I’m helping both the pet and the owner feel at ease during that time.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I’m available most holidays. If there happens to be a timeframe that I won’t be available, I will be sure to communicate that to regular clients well ahead of time.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When caring for timid or reserved cats, I take a calm, patient, and respectful approach. I give them plenty of space and let them initiate contact when they feel ready. I avoid sudden movements or loud noises and use a soft, reassuring voice to help create a sense of safety. I often sit quietly at their level and allow them to observe or sniff me without pressure. I also use treats, toys, and their regular routine to build positive associations over time. Most importantly, I let the cat set the pace, understanding that trust is something that has to be earned gradually.

This was my first time needing a sitter and I was worried that my boy was going to be super skittish since he hadn't met anyone new in a long time, but he ended up warming up to Jordyn super quickly! I'm sooooo happy I ended up going with her. She was super friendly and professional, and she sent me lots of pics of their time together. Plus, I was super grateful that she was more than happy to watch him for another day when my vacation got extended for an extra day at the last minute. I felt very safe and secure handing over my keys, and she made it so I was able to enjoy my entire vacation in peace, knowing my baby was well cared for. I'll definitely be contacting Jordyn again for any sitting needs!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
