I am a cat person to the core! I have had cats my whole life and they are my pride and joy. I think cats are sweet, cuddly, and hilarious in their antics. I have four cats of my own, Lightning, Storm, Monsoon, and Drizzle.
Prior to being a cat sitter I was a dog sitter for 8 years, but cats are my favorite. I also spent some time as a cat foster parent. I have had cats of all ages and stages and I am comfortable with any needs your pet might have, including medication. I will play with and love your cat as if he were my own, and I will make sure he is very well cared for while you are away.
When I’m not obsessing over felines you will probably find me reading a good book, homeschooling my teenage son, or serving at my local church. I look forward to being a top rate cat sitter for anyone in the New Braunfels area.
Learn More About Heather
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats are so sweet and really love attention. I especially love the shy ones, because once you win their attention it’s very rewarding.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My current cats were named with a weather theme. It started with Thunder and Lightning. Thunder is no longer with us, but we have added Storm, Monsoon, and our newest one, Drizzle.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I would love to come meet you and your kitty. You can tell me all about his or her needs, show me where you keep the food and litter box, and let me know about any personality quirks I might need to know.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I never let the cats outside while you are away from home. I always make sure the door is locked when I leave.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, but it can be a busier time for travelers. So get your reservation in early before my schedule fills up.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love feather wands because most cats love them, and they are an easy way to get a cat running around. But the best toy is the one your cat will play with. My own cats love spring toys.

Heather was phenomenal! She always takes great care of our two fluffy babies, she went above this time. Our one cat was sick while we were away and Heather ensured she got her meds and cleaned up messes made by our sick cat. Heather even provided helpful tips on how to make our sick baby feel better. They worked!

I have booked Heather for 2 plus weeks. From the moment she came over for the meet and greet, I could tell how much she LOVES cats. Both of my cats warmed up to her during the visit. She sent me photos and an update on first visit and it took so much anxiety off my chest to see them happy and playing. I feel guilty for leaving them alone for 2 weeks but I know they are in great hands. Paula Coates

She did such a good job- especially when dealing with a cat that likes to hide under a bed from strangers! We came back home to a cat that is just as well fed (and opinionated) as he was before!

We were nervous to leave our two cats with someone we didn't know for the first time, but Heather came for a meet and greet and put our worries to ease. She took good care of our cats for several weeks and always sent updates with cute pictures of our girls. She also brought in our mail and did a few other household tasks that we asked of her. We would definitely call on her again and recommend her to others!

She sent pictures of them daily, brought them a toy to play with, kept their water fountains full and their litter robot clean. I would not hesitate to have her care for our cats again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
New Braunfels cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!

This was our first time using Meowtel and to be honest I was nervous about leaving CC and Fancey with a "stranger" in our home. Heather put our fears at ease at the meet and greet. She not only took great care of our cats but she was observant in her surroundings and noticed that my husband had left his truck window down and it was raining. She put his window up and wiped up the water. That won bonus points with my husband. CC and Fancey were spoiled by Heather and her toys she brought to share with them. We will definitely be requesting Heather again.
