(Some people might call me a crazy cat lady, but I wear that label proudly, too!) I've owned 3 cats over my lifetime and it is my passion to care for them. I have experience with all ages, from kittens that need more attention & play, to senior citizens that require more advanced medical care and compassion.

I work remotely most of the week, and have a flexible work schedule. This allows me to be available throughout the day as needed for drop-in visits, check-ins, or feeding times around a strict schedule. I am also available for weekend overnight stays in your home or mine if desired. I will always try my best to work with your schedule as needed!
I will always respect the rules of your home and complete any tasks you'd like me to related to your cat's care. I am also willing to provide some basic home-sitting services as a complimentary service. If you need your mail checked, trash taken out, plants watered, packages received, or any other special task - I'd love to help!
I value communication between all my clients and I will always keep you in the loop as much as you'd like. I provide a safe and loving environment for your cat to feel comfortable while you are away - many have called me a cat whisperer because even the most unfriendly cats tend to eventually warm up to me!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat sitter for 2+ years and also have 20+ years of experience caring for my own cats. I have also watched and house sat for friend's and family's cats. I specialize in house sitting and drop-in visits. Each cat is unique and I try to tailor my care to your cat's needs. I believe the most important aspect of cat sitting is providing quality companionship so your feline friend doesn't feel lonely while you're away. I take care of each client's cats as if they were my own, providing plenty of play time, talking, cuddles, pets, treats, and interaction in whatever forms they need it!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love being able to discover a cat's unique personality. No 2 cats I've ever sat for are the same, and while all cats do "cat things", the way they do them is as unique as it is among us humans! It is a true joy being able to witness all aspects of a cat's personality. I love building a relationship with the cats as well, and many of my repeat clients cats' recognize me as a familiar friend during sittings for future visits!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I don't have favorites, I love all my cat clients equally! That said, I always enjoy multi-cat sittings because watching them play with and interact with each other can be quite fun and amusing at times.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
While I don't currently have my own cat, I have owned 2 cats over my lifetime. Shoni, my most recent gray domestic shorthair, was my best friend and companion for 16 years before I lost her to cancer in 2023. She was a sweet, shy, loving and sometimes a little weird kitty who loved treats, basking in the sun, and chasing ribbons and bells. I miss her everyday! Minnu, my Siamese cat growing up, had a spicy personality. We found out her on our front porch in the middle of a thunderstorm and took her in (after being unable to find an owner). She was an indoor/outdoor cat who loved hunting mice, birds, and even rabbits. She would bring us "gifts" quite often and would also hunt things like shoes, pants, and plastic bags. She was very talkative and playful, and I think of her often too!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, cat sitting is currently my full-time gig so I am available during all major holidays!
What is your favorite cat toy?
The infamous laser light - I keep one on my keys and every cat I've met loves it! Honorable mention: socks. Some cats just love to roll around in them!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I specialize in timid/anxious cats as my own Shoni used to be this way. I give the cat extra space and respect their boundaries, allowing them to warm up to me at their own pace. I never try to force interaction or try to pick them up/touch them until they've given me permission to do so. I find that approaching these cats with a soft, loving, gentle tone of voice often helps sooth them and build trust as well. I try to talk to the cats and blink slowly at them to show them I'm not a threat. Most times, even the most timid cats warm up to me by the end of the sitting!

Hiring Aamina was such a great choice! My senior cat injured her back leg a week before we were set to leave the state for a long weekend. She had to be carried up and down the stairs, and have medication administered twice per day. We decided to hire an overnight sitter to take care of her and Aamina was the perfect choice! She sent daily videos, photos, and updates on how Kawi was doing. We are so grateful to Aamina for caring for our baby while we were away. Aamina is an outstanding cat sitter who truly knows her way with cats. She did a fantastic job watching over both of my cats and went above and beyond! Not only did she clear out the litter robot poop collector and wash the cats' food mats, but she also ensured their dry food and water bowl area were clean and upkept. Her updates were stellar, complete with detailed commentary and pictures, and she always announced her arrival. Impressively, Aamina was even able to coax my shy cat to come out and cooperate. Also, she is great with communication and response times. I highly recommend Aamina for anyone in need of a dedicated and caring cat sitter!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Round Rock cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
