My availability is flexible most days, with visits offered early mornings through evenings depending on your cat’s needs and routine. I also provide overnight services, which some clients prefer for added peace of mind while they’re away.
I take the time to truly get to know each cat and never rush the relat... I have been caring for pets personally and professionally since 1999 and have been a proud cat parent to multiple breeds over the years.

I take the time to truly get to know each cat and never rush the relationship. I have extensive experience with shy, anxious, and sensitive cats and understand that trust often takes patience.
I’m highly attentive to feline behavior and communication, allowing me to recognize subtle changes in mood, appetite, or health.
I am trained in pet CPR and first aid and have completed coursework in cat behavior. I continue to educate myself so I can provide thoughtful, safe, and reliable care for every cat I look after.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been caring for cats personally and professionally since 1999, including multi-cat households, special needs cats, and long-term clients consistently.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love that every cat has a unique personality—from shy and reserved to chatty, cuddly, and even dog-like. That variety keeps every visit meaningful.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One favorite was a kitten who drank water from my fingertips, loved ice cubes in cups, and trusted me enough for gentle brushing under the bed.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Not currently, but I was a long-time cat mom to nine over the years, including rescues, fosters, and cats who simply found their way to me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Choose a sitter who’s detail-oriented, highly reliable, communicates clearly, truly loves cats, and treats pet care as a profession—not a side gig.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start with a detailed meet-and-greet, review routines, medications, and home access, confirm expectations, and tailor care to each cat’s personality and needs.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I carefully monitor doors and exits and, when helpful, use a portable visual barrier to gently discourage cats from approaching entryways during arrival or departure.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes. I’m often available during holidays, though I strongly recommend booking well in advance, as holiday availability fills quickly seasonally.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Cats have different play styles, so I enjoy using a variety of toys such as wand toys, robotic toys with lights, and interactive toys with bells to match each cat’s preferences.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never rush or force interactions. I let the cat set the pace, use soft sounds, toys, treats, and calm presence to build trust naturally.

It looks like the sitter only came one day not two as the water bowl was nearly empty and she didnt respond to my text asking if she was there and if things were OK. She did take a lot of photos and videos from Day 1 but she also gave me a little bit of attitude when trying to get the cat sitting process started. I was out of town for a funeral. This is my 2rd time to use Meowtel. My other times were much more positive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
