My love for cats began when I was eight years old with my beloved childhood companion, Minoushka. One of my most cherished memories was being by Minoushka's side when she delivered her first litter. She held onto my arm throughout the process and refused to be alone. Witnessing that experience at such a young age left a lasting impression on me and deepened my appreciation for the trust and companionship cats give us.
Growing up, my family always shared our home with cats, and at times we cared for as many as five at once. In 2022, I adopted my two rescue boys, Yuri and Roku, and they have brought immeasurable joy and companionship into my life... Living with Yuri and Roku has given me experience caring for cats with very different personalities. Yuri is calm, observant, and affectionate on his own terms, while Roku came from a difficult background and spent his early months being passed between different homes before joining our family. Building trust with Roku took patience and understanding, and he taught me that shy cats don't need to be rushed. They need respect, consistency, and someone who understands that trust is earned, not forced.
Because of these experiences, I adapt my approach to each cat's personality. Some cats crave attention and playtime, while others prefer quiet companionship and gentle reassurance. I believe in letting cats set the pace and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment.
I currently provide in-home visits throughout South Austin, East Austin, Downtown Austin, Buda, and Creedmoor. My visits include fresh food and water, litter box maintenance, playtime, enrichment, affection when welcomed, and detailed daily photo updates so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away.
I also have experience administering oral medications, calming supplements, topical treatments, and injections when needed. I understand how important it is to monitor eating habits, litter box activity, and behavior changes, and I know that small details can make a big difference in a cat's well-being.
In addition to caring for your cats, I am happy to help with reasonable household tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, or adjusting lights and blinds during my visit.
Whenever possible, I enjoy meeting both you and your cats before a booking. Meet-and-greets are a wonderful opportunity to understand routines, preferences, favorite toys, hiding spots, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and reassuring to your feline family.
As a cat parent myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companions in someone else's care. My goal is simple: to care for your cats with the same patience, kindness, and attention that I give to my own boys every day.

Cats have been part of my life for several decades. My love for them began when I was eight years old with my beloved childhood companion, Minoushka. Over the years, my family cared for several cats, and at one point we had five cats in our home. In 2022, I adopted my two rescue boys, Yuri and Roku, and caring for them has deepened my understanding of feline behavior, routines, and individual personalities. I have experience administering oral medications, calming supplements, topical treatments, and injections when needed, as well as monitoring eating habits, litter box activity, and changes in behavior that may indicate something isn't quite right. I believe every cat is unique, and I strive to provide the same patience, kindness, and attention to my clients' cats that I give to my own boys every day.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is earning a cat's trust. Cats don't give their affection freely, and I think that's part of what makes them so special. Every cat has its own personality, preferences, and pace, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. Some cats love playtime and attention, while others simply appreciate a calm presence and someone who respects their space. I never force interactions and always let cats set the pace. There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing a shy cat gradually become comfortable and knowing that I've helped them feel safe and cared for while their family is away. As a cat parent myself, I know how much peace of mind it brings to receive updates and photos while traveling, so I love being able to provide that reassurance to fellow cat lovers.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I currently share my home with two wonderful rescue cats named Yuri and Roku. Yuri is gentle, observant, and affectionate on his own terms. He enjoys routines and has taught me the importance of paying attention to the little things that contribute to a cat's health and happiness. Roku is playful, curious, and wonderfully expressive. Because he spent his early months being passed between different homes before joining our family, building trust with him took time and patience. His journey taught me that shy cats don't need to be rushed—they need understanding, consistency, and the freedom to feel comfortable at their own pace. Living with Yuri and Roku has shown me that every cat is different, and that's one of the many reasons I love them so much. They continue to teach me something new every day.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
