My name is Ingrid. I love cats since I understand myself as a human being, something about the felines make me feel peaceful and understanding of true love. One of the question to fill this form was “how many cats do you own?” but having cats I learned I don’t own them, so my answer is at the moment I have 2 cats roommates that live with me rent free for 5 years 😂 till the end, and I love them with all my soul, I love their distinguished personalities and how they, with no pretentious reasons, make me laugh so hard. I also fostered cats and kittens before and rescued some others, took care of them and found them loving parents.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for over 10 years, everything started when I was still at school and my neighbors would ask to look after their cats when they were traveling, later on in life I realized that it was a wonderful side job to have, because definitely doesn’t feel like a job, is something that makes me fell good to be helping out pet parents as well.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
To get to know as many cats I can in my lifetime, their different personalities, fur and shapes, it is something that amazes me how each kitten is unique and figure out they particulaties is something that gives me joy.

I do have kitties, Snow a 5 years old male black cat (he is brown when on sun)Snow is the sweatiest cat I ever know, but shy with strangers, and Ernesto 4 years old, he is white with some brownish spots, so smart, he is a fetch player, very peculiar for a cat .

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Ingrid was so wonderful with my elderly cat, who requires a special diet and is probably close to death. She gave her plenty of love and pets and took her outside (which she loves to do), and took plenty of photos for me. I’m so grateful that Ingrid gave her some happy moments while I was out of town. I have two other cats who are very standoffish. Ingrid found them, took a couple of photos, and left them alone (which they wanted, lol). Ingrid cleaned the litter very well. I’m very happy with her and will use her again!

Ingrid was absolutely wonderful. We have always been afraid to leave our cats with anyone but us because they are so shy. She was the absolute best, they warmed up to her real quick and she always sent us pics and videos of them. This was the first time that we were able to go out of town with complete peace of mind. I am the worst helicopter, anxiously attached cat mom and I was leaving my child with stress-induced illness alone for 10 days for the first time in his life. Ingrid was super sweet and caring with our ragdolls, Max and Betty, winning them over with her gentleness from their first meeting. She took excellent care of their different food needs, grooming their coats and reassuring them the week we were gone.
